Snowmen Making Group 1 Hi this is Parkcrest and this is our snowmen.
The bottom is 30 cm on the short side on the box and 38 cm long side of the box and 14 cm tall. The middle box is 27 cm on the long side and 18 cm on the short side 13 and a half for how tall it is. The top box is 23 cm on the long side and 18cm short side 13 cm and a half for how tall it is.
Now paint all the boxes white and then glue them together.
On the middle box, paint cotton balls black like buttons and stick them three in a row top to bottom use three. Then stick three toilet paper rolls together (x2) with tape and then paint them brown. Then stick them on each side of the middle box. We used tape. For the head we painted cotton balls black for the eyes and stuck them on.
For the nose we cut out 5cm equilateral triangle out of cardboard. Then we taped orange construction paper on the top of the cardboard. We put it on the box 1 cm from the bottom of the eyes. We attached it with tape. The mouth was painted on with black paint. A nice big smile that was ¾ of the width of the head. Then we made a scarf that was 104 cm we made it out of three types of string. Red, blue and black. The red is wool that is has some ruffles to it. The black and blue is just regular wool. Then we braided them together and then we tied them around him. Then we used a styrofoam cup for his hat. We wrapped black construction paper around the cup. We used tape to stick the paper on the cup. Then we taped the cup to the snowman’s head. GOOD LUCK form Parkcrest.
Snowman Instructions Group 2

Step 5: (The head) Length is 15cm, height is 12.5cm, width is 6cm
Step 6: We used two toilet paper rolls for each arm. (so 4 in total) They are painted brown. Right arm 19cm length. Tape it on. Left arm [cut hole in the second middle box] and put the arm in until it sticks out at 13 cm. The nose is 7cm and is made out of construction paper rolled into a cone shape.
Step 7: The hat is a box thats 9cm in length, 12.5 cm in height and 8.5 cm wide. Paint it black. Take a small paper plate and paint it black. Attach the paper plate to the head of the snowman and then attach the small box on top. It should look like a top hat.
Step 8: We used cotton balls and dipped them in green and red paint. We made 2 green and 3 red. We used the 3 red for the buttons and the 2 green for eyes. First red button is on the crease of 2 bottom boxes. Second red button is on the first middle box. Third button is on the second middle box.
SNOWMAN! Group 3
For the bottom we used a big box it was 30cm long, 22.1 cm tall and for the width it was 12 cm in width . The second box we used was 28cm long, 19 cm tall for the width it was 11 cm . For the top box it 26 cm long, 16 cm tall and 8.1 for width .
For the slippers we glued toilet paper rolls to front the bottom. We then used white paint to stick cotton balls on the toilet paper rolls. We also used green ribbons to look cute! <3 So there was cotton balls stuck all over toilet paper rolls. They look like 2 big, fluffy rabbit’s tails. For the arms we used toilet paper rolls . One for each side. They are attached to the middle box and point directly out to the sides. There are 3 cotton balls dipped in black paint for the buttons. They are attached vertically to the second (middle) box. We also used cotton balls for the eyes, nose, and mouth. We dipped them in black paint before we attached them . Each eye is a cotton ball dipped in black paint and attached to the head. The nose is placed roughly 5cm from each eye. It looks like a wide based triangle with the two eyes and the nose. The mouth is 4 black cotton balls attached in a smile shape underneath the nose, about 4cm below. For a little decoration we also used attached a mustache made out of paper and black marker. It is about 15cm wide. Look below for example!! We made a scarf. It is a piece of tissue paper that is about 40 cm long and 12 cm wide. It is attached to the front only, just under the mouth. We cut the ends to make it look like fringe. For the hat, it is a red solo cup attached to the top. We painted a paper towel roll red and white like a candy cane and attached it to the top of the cup. The roll is pointing to the sides. We made a small snowflake and attached it to the front of the roll right above the cup.
There is another snowflake attached to the left cheek of the snowman. (Left if you are looking at it) About 7cm diameter. It is right off the last cotton ball.
We also put some strings down the side of the snowman’s head to make it look like stringy hair. It is about 15cm. It has a variety of colours. The string is like embroidery thread but regular string would be fine. There is about 6 per side. Glue them to the top of the head and let them hang down the sides.
Snowman Instructions
First you take a box (shoe box) thats 42 cm long, by 11 tall cm by 25.5 cm wide. Paint it white. This is the base of your snowman. On top of that box, have a box that is 24 cm long by 21 cm tall by 17cm wide. Paint it white. This is the middle On top of that box have a box thats 23 cm long, by 9 cm tall, by 13.5cm. Paint it white. This is also the middle . For the head get a box thats 13cm long, 9cm tall, by 9cm wide. Paint it white. This is the head.
For the arms use (4) toliet paper rolls per arm. They should be about 23cm in length. We just attached them together by stuff one end into the other. Paint them brown. Attach the arms to the top of the two middle boxes. They point outward and downward. We have put them through the holes that were in the box. For the hat, use a 9cm red solo cup that is painted black. Get a paper plate thats 21cm in diameter. Paint it black. Glue the solo cup on top of the paper plate. Attach the hat to the top of the snowman.
The nose is 26cm long made with orange construction paper. It is rolled into a long cone shape. It is taped in several places to keep it in place. Attach to the snowman head slightly above the middle.
There are 2 black cotton balls for eyes. They were dipped in black paint. They are attached on either side of the nose. On the chest, there are 3 black cotton balls for buttons each 4 cm apart. One cotton ball starts on the top middle box, then the next two go on the bottom middle box.
Our Snowman Group 5
All the boxes are wrapped in white paper. We used paper from the large rolls of paper at the school. (Bulletin board paper). We wrapped them just like Christmas presents. The bottom box is 12 cm high, 32 cm long and 27cm wide. The middle box is 11 cm high, 28 cm long and 21 cm wide. The top (head) box is 13 cm high, 16 cm long and 5 cm wide. They are all attached together. For the head/face of the snowman, there is a white paper plate glued to the front/face of the snowman. It makes the snowman’s head look round. It is about 21.5cm in diameter. (*See below for further instructions about the plate) The eyes are painted on the paper plate. They are round black circles about 5cm in diameter. The mouth is made out of black string. It is glued to the paper plate in a smile shape. The string is about 15cm long. The nose made out of orange construction paper and is 12 cm long and 2 cm wide. It is attached to the middle of the plate with tape. The eyes are above the nose and quite close together. * Roughly 5 cm is cut off the paper plate in a straight line. This is the top part of the face of the snowmen. The hat is made out of a red solo cup. It is 12 cm high and 7 centimeters wide. The hat is stuck on by 2 vertical slits cut into the paper plate at the front. Keeping the back of the hat up is a toilet paper roll wedged underneath. This makes the hat tilt slightly to the back. You will probably need to tape your hat. The scarf is purple construction paper and is 51 cm long and 5 cm wide. It is attached to the the front of the snowman at the bottom of the head. The middle is tucked underneath the paper plate then the rest drapes down the front edges of the middle box. There is fringe cut along the ends. The feet are made out of cotton balls, 3 long, 2 high. They are attached to the bottom of the snowman at the front about 5cm from each end. The arms are made out of paper towel rolls. They are painted white and are attached through holes in the sides. There are 3 fingers on each arm. They are cut out of cardboard (toilet paper rolls). The fingers are 6cm by 2.5cm. There are 3 buttons, 2 on the middle and 1 on the bottom. They are black. Make them out of black construction paper. They are 2 cm in diameter. His hat has strips of orange, green, purple and yellow construction paper on it. The strips run vertically and are 7.5cm long and 2cm wide. The front strip is green. The left side has a yellow strip, the right side has an orange strip and the back side has another yellow strip. The top of the hat (which is the bottom of the cup) has a dark pink rim of paper that is about 1cm wide. Our strips are sparkly but yours do not have to be :)
